Trapper
Information
As of November 2010 North Star no longer covers the expense of
Trappers for casual shooting. It is the member
responsibility to pay the trapper fee.
This fee is in addition to the fees for the rounds of shooting. Trapper fee is $12 and in addition your party
is encouraged to tip the trapper an appropriate amount for his/her service.
Trapper fee and gratuity is paid to the trapper at the completion of the shoot.

Trapper Safety:
1)
Eye and Ear protection is mandatory
2)
Always approach traps from behind – never from in
front of the trap
3)
Remove trap covers carefully in case the trap was
left cocked
4)
To safely uncock manual
trap – hold arm tightly with one hand & pull trap release while slowly
letting arm extend to straight out position
5)
Always release trap to fully uncocked
position when done with the trap.
6)
Never release an empty trap
7)
Never fill an automatic trap when it is
armed. Fill it from the sides or from behind
– never in front.
Never do anything that makes you
feel unsafe. If you are unsure of
anything, ask another member for assistance.
